We are on a mission, and we are a family – “a family on a mission”. Leaders from a large part of the Nordic Salt & Light family will gather in Horred, Sweden, where “Staden på berget” Church – led by Kai & Laila Serholt – is hosting this year’s leaders conference. With excitement and expectation we gather to be equipped, encouraged and to deepen friendships and relationships within the family. This year we’ll have a special Youth Leaders Seminar which starts with lunch on Thursday. We see that God is clearly leading us to equip and encourage young leaders for the time we’re living in and the time which lies ahead.

A conference doesn’t just happen – we make it happen together. We remember with thanksgiving the conference in May 2011 in Västerås when we developed our relationships while working together. We want to continue to develop this with volunteer work teams from all the churches. We believe and see that this gives so much extra. Sign up for a work team – first come, first serve.

With joy we look forward to 17-19 May in Horred. Pray and come with an expectation of deepened relationships with God and friends.

Main speaker, Stefan Swärd

Stefan Swärd

We are pleased to welcome our main speaker, Stefan Swärd. Stefan has been involved in Swedish Christianity his whole life and has a passion for spreading the Christian faith. He has been a pastor for many years, and is now the pastor of Elim Church in Östermalm, in Stockholm. He runs, among other things, “Youth Church Connect”, a new Christian initiative which aims to move the church out into the city. Currently they are out on Friday nights in central Stockholm, serving pancakes to teenagers – a practical Christian effort to counteract violence and abuse. Stefan Swärd was the chairman of the Evangelical Free Church (EFK) up until the spring of 2011, and is a member of the board of the Swedish Evangelical Alliance, chairman of the Christian think tank “The Clapham Institute”, and has for several years sat on the board of the newspaper “Dagen”. He is also part of the Christian Council of Sweden’s climate group, representing the free churches there. In addition, Stefan is active as a consultant within the Swedish business community, specializing in climate and energy politics.

Cost and booking
The cost for the whole conference, including meals and accommodation in a hostel or home, is 1410 SEK if you book before 1 April (thereafter 1600 SEK), and 345 SEK for each additional night. Use the link below to book. Last date for booking is the 1st of May.

13 years & up - full price

Important
Youth Leaders Seminar "Your role as a youth leader in Scandinavia"
Thursday 12.00-16.00. Booking in advance is required via your pastor.

During the conference the youth from the church and school will have a kiosk open. Bring cash for purchases and support!


Childcare
For those of you who have your children with you, there will be rooms available for children’s activities, but it is the parents’ responsibility to watch their own children. No childcare will be provided.
